Jehovah’s wittnesses

INTRODUCTION

This booklet is meant to be a help in conversations with Jehovah’s witnesses.

It is mainly a collection of Bible texts which refute their errors.

The citations are taken from their own Bible: the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures (2010) – ’funny’ to this latest translation is that if the 144,000 ‘anointed’ Jehovah’s witnesses think they are concerned, they use capital letters, but when referring to the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit no capital letters are used.

Texts that are clearly different from the Protestant or Catholic translations and therefore have lost their ‘probative value’ (for Jehovah’s witnesses) are not included. For example, inJohn there is written: ” … and the word was God “, but in their translation: “and the word was a god” (but actually the original text says: “… and God was the word”. Explanation of other errors in their translation see this website.

With this collection of Bible texts we could attack them, but that is not the intention of course. God loves everyone.

Something that can touch them are the personal testimonies of those who experience a personal contact with God; testimonies of answers of praying, inner healing, etc., things that they themselves never or rarely experience.

Not all aspects of their errors are treated here, but only the main deceptions, those we can hear when we open our doors for them.

What stands out the most to them, is their name: Jehovah’s witnesses. Where does this name Jehovah come from?

The original language of the Hebrew knows only consonants. The name of God was written like this: YHWH. The Jews since Nehemiah don’t pronounce His name any more for fear of God. Instead, they said: Adonaj, what means Lord (the Protestants have continued this radition).

To indicate that Adonaj had to be pronounced where YHWH was written, the Masoretes (Bible writers of 200-1400 AD) added the vowels of Adonaj between the consonants of YHWH – which gives as result: JHoWaH (the first A was not insert, probably because it wasn‘t accentuated). The pronunciation Jehovah is therefore a mistake. Most likely the pronunciation was Yahweh. In the word hallelu-ja, what means all glory to God, the last syllable denotes God: ‘Jah’-weh. There are more words ending on jah (see e.g. Revelation 19:4 from their version).
This fact isn’t very important, but it is interesting to know …

The main errors are:
  • Everything revolves around the name Jehovah and not around the name of Jesus
  • Jesus is not God, but the Angel Michael, who became son of God by the baptism byJohn the Baptist
  • The Holy Spirit is not a (divine) person, but a divine energy
  • The message of reconciliation is not the central message
  • Jesus ‘ body is not risen from the dead and our bodies will not either
  • The satan has ruled from 607 BC to 1914 AD. And Jesus returned 1 October 1914 and the believers who passed away were resurrected that day
  • Earth and heaven will not literally be destroyed by fire
  • Hell as an eternal punishment does not exist
  • Death means to be completely without consciousness
  • Israel has no place in God’s plan of salvation
  • The 144,000 in Revelation. 7:4 forms an elite group of the Jehovah’s witnesses; the multitude that no one can count is a part of the other Jehovah’s witnesses
  • Only the 144,000 will enter into the new Jerusalem, will be the bride of Christ, may participate at the Last Supper, are sons of God, are filled with the Holy Spirit and will reign as kings in the millennial
  • The Watchtower is the channel of pure Bible explanation …

Each chapter in this booklet begins with a statement of the Watchtower society, followed by answers from God’s Word.

My sheep hear my voice, says Jesus. The sheep from the flock of the Jehovah’s witnesses listen to the voice of the Watchtower. It is a life of slavery and not of grace. Many of them have no personal contact with God. The peace and joy and liberating power we experience is something we have to share with them.

I wish you God’s love and wisdom in your contacts with these ‘witnesses’

WE HAVE TO WITNESS TO JEHOVAH (?)

Witnesses of Jehovah or witnesses of Jesus?
Christians in the New Testament were never called Jehovah’s witnesses; you can’t even find the name Jehovah (Yahweh) in the New Testament. Jehovah’s witnesses have the name Jehovah in the New Testament as a translation of the Greek word ‘Kurios’, which means ‘Lord’, also a little mistake…

In Isaiah 44:8 there is written: You are my witnesses (Jehovah’s witnesses base their name on this text), but there Yahweh was speaking solely to the people of Israel.

Acts 1:8
YOU will be witnesses of me, Jesus said.

John 15:26
When the helper arrives that I will send YOU from the Father, the spirit of the truth, which proceeds from the Father, that one will bear witness about me …

Acts 5:42
And everyday in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus

Acts 8:5
Philip, for one, went down to the city of Samaria and began to preach the Christ to them.

Hebr. 3:1
Consequently, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high priest whom we confess – Jesus.

Rev. 20:4
Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God.

Rev. 19:10
… you and of your brothers who have the work of witnessing to Jesus.

JESUS DOESN’T OCCUPY THE CENTRAL PLACE (?)

Col. 1:16
… because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. (weself include)

John 5:22-23
For the Father judges no one at all, but he has committed all the judging to the Son, in order that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

Rom. 1:6
… YOU also are those called to belong to Jesus Christ …

Phil. 3:7-11
Yet what things were gains to me, these I have considered loss on account of the Christ. Why, for that matter, I do indeed also consider all things to be loss on account of the excelling value of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.
On account of him I have taken the loss of all things and I consider them as a lot of refuse, that I may gain Christ and be found in union with him, having, not my own righteousness, which results from law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness that issues from God on the basis of faith, so as to know him …

1 John 5:11-12
And this is the witness given, that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has this life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have this life.

Col. 1:19
… because [God] saw good for all fullness to dwell in him.

1 Cor. 1:23
… we preach Christ impaled …

John 16:13-14
However, when that one arrives, the spirit of the truth, he will guide YOU into all the truth… That one will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine and will declare it to YOU, Jesus said.

Acts 9:4-5
… and he fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him: “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”He said: “Who are you, Lord?” He said: “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

Acts 16:31
“Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will get saved, you and your household.”

Col. 1:1,7
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus … … a faithful minister of the Christ

Hebr. 12:2a
… as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus.

Eph. 3:17
… to have the Christ dwell through [YOUR] faith in YOUR hearts with love …

THE NAME ‘JEHOVAH’ OCCUPIES THE CENTRAL PLACE (?)

Preaching

Acts 4:12
Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”

Phil. 2:9-11
For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name,

Matt. 12:21
Indeed, in his name nations will hope.

Acts 5:40
… and they summoned the apostles, flogged them, and ordered them to stop speaking upon the basis of Jesus’ name …

Acts 9:15-16
“… this man is a chosen vessel to me to bear my name to the nations … For I shall show him plainly how many things he must suffer for my name.”

Acts 19:17
… and the name of the Lord Jesus went on being magnified.
Conversion, forgiveness and justification in the name of Jesus

Luke 24:47
…on the basis of his name repentance for forgiveness of sins would be preached in all the nations …

Acts 10:43
To him all the prophets bear witness, that everyone putting faith in him gets forgiveness of sins through his name.

1 Cor. 6:11
… YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.

Baptism in the name of Jesus

Acts 10:48a
With that he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

Acts 19:5
… they got baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 22:16
And now why are you delaying? Rise, get baptized and wash your sins away by your calling upon his name.

Christians come together in the name of Jesus

Matt. 18:20
For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.

Faith in the name of Jesus

John 20:31
But these have been written down that YOU may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that, because of believing, YOU may have life by means of his name.

1John 3: 23
Indeed, this is his commandment, that we have faith in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and be loving one another.

1John 5:11-13
And this is the witness given, that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has this life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have this life.
I write YOU these things that YOU may know that YOU have life everlasting, YOU who put YOUR faith in the name of the Son of God.

John 3:18
He that exercises faith in him is not to be judged. He that does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Surrender

Acts 15:25b-26
Bar′nabas and Paul, men that have delivered up their souls for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Col. 3:17
And whatever it is that YOU do in word or in work, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, thanking God the Father through him.

Answer to prayer

image306John 14:13-14
Also, whatever it is that YOU ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father may be glorified in connection with the Son. If YOU ask anything in my name, I will do it.

John 15:16
… in order that no matter what YOU ask the Father in my name he might give it to YOU.

John 16:23
If YOU ask the Father for anything he will give it to YOU in my name.

Miracles in the name of Jesus

Mark. 16:17
Furthermore, these signs will accompany those believing: By the use of my name they will expel demons, they will speak with tongues, and with their hands they will pick up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly it will not hurt them at all. They will lay their hands upon sick persons, and these will become well.

Acts 3:6
However, Peter said: “Silver and gold I do not possess, but what I do have is what I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene′, walk!”

Acts 4:30
… while you stretch out your hand for healing and while signs and portents occur through the name of your holy servant Jesus.

Acts 16:18
Finally Paul got tired of it and turned and said to the spirit: “I order you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.”

Persecutions in the name of Jesus

Matt. 10:22
And YOU will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my name.

Matt. 19:29
And everyone that has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive many times more and will inherit everlasting life.

Luke 21:12
But before all these things people will lay their hands upon YOU and persecute YOU, delivering YOU up to the synagogues and prisons, YOU being haled before kings and governors for the sake of my name.

Acts 5:41
These, therefore, went their way from before the San′hedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy to be dishonored in behalf of his name.

Acts 21:13b
Rest assured, I am ready not only to be bound but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

1 Petrus 4:14
If YOU are being reproached for the name of Christ, YOU are happy, because the [spirit] of glory, even the spirit of God, is resting upon YOU.

vers 16:
… but let him keep on glorifying God in this name.

Endurance in the name of Jesus

Rev. 2:3
You are also showing endurance, and you have borne up for my name’s sake …

Rev. 2:13
… and yet you keep on holding fast my name, and you did not deny your faith in me …

Rev. 3:8
… and you kept my word and did not prove false to my name.

JESUS ISN’T GOD, BUT THE ARCHANGEL MICHAEL (?)

image158Where is it written? And who is the person Daniel 10:5-21 talks about?
… and, look! Michael, one of the foremost princes, came to help me.

Hebr. 1:6b
But when he again brings his Firstborn into the inhabited earth, he says: “And let all God’s angels do obeisance to him.

Col. 1:16
… because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him.

John 1:1-3
In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. This one was in [the] beginning with God. All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence.
Also, everything, the angels include, are created by Jesus; a creation created bij himself who creates all other things… weird.

Jesus’ diviness

Matt. 18:20
For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.
How a “no-God” can be at thousands of places at the same time?

John 5:18
On this account, indeed, the Jews began seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath but he was also calling God his own Father, making himself equal to God.

John 14:9b
He that has seen me has seen the Father [also].

John 20:28
In answer Thomas said to him: “My Lord and my God!”
Would a Jehovah’s witness have reacted in that way?
Jesus didn’t correct Thomas.

1John 1:2 en 5:20c
… and reporting to YOU the everlasting life which was with the Father and was made manifest to us.
… Jesus Christ. This is the true God and life everlasting.

Col. 2:9
… because it is in him that all the fullness of the divine quality dwells bodily. How can God’s fullness dwell in somebody smaller trhen Himself?

Hebr. 7:2b-3
“King of Righteousness,” and is then also king of Sa′lem, that is, “King of Peace.” In being fatherless, motherless, without genealogy, having neither a beginning of days nor an end of life, but having been made like the Son of God, he remains a priest perpetually.
Jesus had also no beginning of days …

Jahweh is the first and the last

Jes. 44:6
This is what Jehovah has said, the King of Israel and the Repurchaser of him, Jehovah of armies, ‘I am the first and I am the last, and besides me there is no God.

Openb. 1:8 (en Openb. 21:6)
“I am the Al′pha and the Ome′ga,” says Jehovah God, “the One who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty.”

Jesus is the first and the last:

Openb. 22:12-13 (en Openb. 1:17)
“‘Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to render to each one as his work is. I am the Al′pha and the O‧me′ga, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Jahweh is the Creator

Jes. 44:24
“I, Jehovah, am doing everything, stretching out the heavens by myself, laying out the earth. Who was with me?”

About Jesus there’s written:

Kol. 1:16
… because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him.

Hebr. 1:2-3
…a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the systems of things. He is the reflection of [his] glory and the exact representation of his very being, and he sustains all things by the word of his power.
And Jesus is inherating everything, what is also left to God?

Jahweh is the strong God

Jes. 10:21
A mere remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty God.

Jesus is the strong God:

Jes. 9:6
For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us … And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, …

Jahweh send his prophets

Jer. 35:15
And I kept sending to YOU all my servants the prophets …

Jesus sends his prophets:

Matt. 23:34
For this reason, here I am sending forth to YOU prophets and wise men and public instructors…

Jahweh saves

Jes. 43:11
I – I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.

Jesus saves:

Luk. 19:10
For the Son of man came to seek and to save what was lost.
Who can forgive than God only? (Luk. 5:21, 7:49)

Luk. 5:24
But in order for YOU to know that the Son of man has authority on the earth to forgive sins—” he said to the paralyzed man: “I say to you, Get up …

All knee will bow for Jahweh

Jes. 45:23 (Rom. 14:11)
By my own self I have sworn—out of my own mouth in righteousness the word has gone forth, so that it will not return—that to me every knee will bend down, every tongue will swear …

All knee will bow for Jesus:

Phil. 2:9-10
… For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground,.

Jahweh is the King of kings

1 Tim. 6:14-15
… the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ. This [manifestation] the happy and only Potentate will show in its own appointed times, [he] the King of those who rule as kings and Lord of those who rule as lords, the one alone having immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light …

Jesus is the King of kings:

Rev. 19:16
And upon his outer garment, even upon his thigh, he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

All honnor to Jahweh!

Rev. 4:11
“You are worthy, Jehovah, even our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created.”

All honnor to Jesus:

John 5:22-23
For the Father judges no one at all, but he has committed all the judging to the Son, in order that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father.

Rev. 5:12-14
“The Lamb that was slaughtered is worthy to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.”

And every creature that is in heaven and on earth and underneath the earth and on the sea, and all the things in them, I heard saying: “To the One sitting on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing and the honor and the glory and the might forever and ever.” And the four living creatures went saying: “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT A PERSON (?)

The holy Spirit can be grieved, He speaks, forbids, thinks, teaches, convinces, leads, glorifies. Is an energie capable tot do this?

Eph. 4:30
Also, do not be grieving God’s holy spirit …

1 Cor. 2:10
… the spirit searches into all things, even the deep things of God.

Matt. 12:32
… whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the holy spirit, it will not be forgiven him, no, not in this system of things nor in that to come.

Mark. 13:11
… for YOU are not the ones speaking, but the holy spirit is.

Luke 12:12
… for the holy spirit will teach YOU in that very hour the things YOU ought to say.

Acts 13:2
… as they were publicly ministering to Jehovah and fasting, the holy spirit said: “Of all persons set Bar′nabas and Saul apart for me for the work to which I have called them.

Acts 15:28
… For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU …

Acts 16:6
… because they were forbidden by the holy spirit to speak the word in the [district of] Asia.

Hebr. 9:8
Thus the holy spirit makes it plain that …

John 14:26
… but the helper, the holy spirit, which the Father will send in my name, that one will teach YOU all things and bring back to YOUR minds all the things I told YOU …

John 14:16
… and I will request the Father and he will give YOU another helper to be with YOU forever, the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive, because it neither beholds it nor knows it. YOU know it, because it remains with YOU and is in YOU.

John 16:8, 13-14
And when that one arrives he will give the world convincing evidence concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment: However, when that one arrives, the spirit of the truth, he will guide YOU into all the truth, for he will not speak of his own impulse, but what things he hears he will speak, and he will declare to YOU the things coming. That one will glorify me, because he will receive from what is mine and will declare it to YOU.

Rev. 22:17
And the spirit and the bride keep on saying: “Come!”

MIRACLES AND GIFTS FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT ARE PASSED (?)

1 Cor. 12:7-10
But the manifestation of the spirit is given to each one for a beneficial purpose. For example, to one there is given through the spirit speech of wisdom, to another speech of knowledge according to the same spirit, to another faith by the same spirit, to another gifts of healings by that one spirit, to yet another operations of powerful works, to another prophesying, to another discernment of inspired utterances, to another different tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues.
Where is it written that these gifts will be taken away from the church on a certain moment?

1 Cor. 13:8-10
Love never fails. But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with.
Knowledge still exists, also the rest too.

Matt. 21:21-22

Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to YOU, If only YOU have faith and do not doubt, not only will YOU do what I did to the fig tree, but also if YOU say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and cast into the sea,’ it will happen. And all the things YOU ask in prayer, having faith, YOU will receive.”
And why not believe that God wants to heal us?

1 Petrus 2:24
And “by his stripes YOU were healed.

Mark. 9:23
Jesus said to him: “That expression, ‘If you can’! Why, all things can be to one if one has faith.”

PREACHING OF RECONCILIATION IS NOT A CENTRAL THEME (?)

Acts 2:38
Peter [said] to them: “Repent, and let each one of YOU be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of YOUR sins, and YOU will receive the free gift of the holy spirit.

2 Cor. 5:18-20
But all things are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of the reconciliation,
“Become reconciled to God.”

Luke 24:47
… and on the basis of his name repentance for forgiveness of sins would be preached in all the nations …

Hebr. 2:17
Consequently he was obliged to become like his “brothers” in all respects, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, in order to offer propitiatory sacrifice for the sins of the people.

Hebr. 9:22, 10:5-10
… unless blood is poured out no forgiveness takes place.
Hence when he comes into the world he says: “‘Sacrifice and offering you did not want, but you prepared a body for me. … Then I said, ‘Look! I am come (in the roll of the book it is written about me) to do your will, O God.’”
By the said “will” we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

1John 1:7
… and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Therefore:

1 Cor. 1:23
… but we preach Christ impaled …

ISRAEL HAS NO PLACE ANY MORE IN THE PLAN OF SALVATION (?)

image356Rom. 11:2
God did not reject his people, whom he first recognized.

Rom.11:28b, 29
True, with reference to the good news they are enemies for YOUR sakes, but with reference to [God’s] choosing they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers.
For the gifts and the calling of God are not things he will regret.

Rom. 11:32
For God has shut them all up together in disobedience, that he might show all of them mercy.

Rom. 11:11b
… But by their false step there is salvation to people of the nations, to incite them to jealousy.

Rom. 11:25b-26a, 27b
… that a dulling of sensibilities has happened in part to Israel until the full number of people of the nations has come in, and in this manner all Israel will be saved. … when I take their sins away

Rom. 11:15
For if the casting of them away means reconciliation for the world, what will the receiving of them mean but life from the dead?

THE 144 000 AND THE MASS NO ONE CAN COUNT

And I heard the number of those who were sealed, a hundred and forty four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel:
Out of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand sealed; out of the tribe of Reu′ben twelve thousand, etc.
Why should we take the number of 144 000 from Rev. 7:4-9 litterally, but not the names of the tribes?

The holy Spirit only for the 144.000 (?)

Rom. 8:9,11
However, YOU are in harmony, not with the flesh, but with the spirit, if God’s spirit truly dwells in YOU. But if anyone does not have Christ’s spirit, this one does not belong to him.

If, now, the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in YOU, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also make YOUR mortal bodies alive through his spirit that resides in YOU

1 Cor. 12:3
… nobody can say: “Jesus is Lord!” except by holy spirit.

Luke 11:13
Therefore, if YOU, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to YOUR children, how much more so will the Father in heaven give holy spirit to those asking him!

John 14:16
… “If YOU love me, YOU will observe my commandments; and I will request the Father and he will give YOU another helper to be with YOU forever, the spirit of the truth, which the world cannot receive …

Gal. 3:26 and 4:6,12
YOU are all, in fact, sons of God through YOUR faith in Christ Jesus.
Now because YOU are sons, God has sent forth the spirit of his Son into our hearts and it cries out: “Abba, Father!”

Brothers, I beg YOU, Become as I am, because I used to be also as YOU are.

Rebirth only for the 144 000 (?)

John 1:12-13
However, as many as did receive him, to them he gave authority to become God’s children, because they were exercising faith in his name; and they were born, not from blood or from a fleshly will or from man’s will, but from God.

1John 5:1
Everyone believing that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God

Gal. 3:26-29
YOU are all, in fact, sons of God through YOUR faith in Christ Jesus. For all of YOU who were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for YOU are all one [person] in union with Christ Jesus. Moreover, if YOU belong to Christ, YOU are really Abraham’s seed, heirs with reference to a promise.

Gal. 4:6-12
Now because YOU are sons, God has sent forth the spirit of his Son into our hearts and it cries out: “Abba, Father!” So, then, you are no longer a slave but a son …
Brothers, I beg YOU, Become as I am, because I used to be also as YOU are.

Last Supper only for the 144 000 (?)

John 6:53-58
Accordingly Jesus said to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, Unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in yourselves. He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I shall resurrect him at the last day; for my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in union with me, and I in union with him. Just as the living Father sent me forth and I live because of the Father, he also that feeds on me, even that one will live because of me. …

He that feeds on this bread will live forever.”

image0361 Cor. 10:16-17
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of the Christ? The loaf which we break, is it not a sharing in the body of the Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, although many, are one body, for we are all partaking of that one loaf.

If the Lord Jesus has come back in 1914, why do the “ointed ones” participate at the Last Supper? This has to be done until he arrives (1 Cor. 11:26)?

Only the 144 000 will enter into the new Jerusalem (?)

Abraham and the prophets don’t belong to the 144 000. Only this group is going to heaven. How do you explain this text:
But now they are reaching out for a better [place], that is, one belonging to heaven. Hence God is not ashamed of them, to be called upon as their God, for he has made a city ready for them (Hebr. 11:13-16).

image307Rev. 22:14-15
Happy are those who wash their robes, that the authority [to go] to the trees of life may be theirs and that they may gain entrance into the city by its gates. Outside are the dogs and those who practice spiritism and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and everyone liking and carrying on a lie.’
Also you are or a dog outside or a redeemed one.

Only the 144 000 will reign as kings (?)

Rev. 20:4-6
And I saw thrones, and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had worshiped neither the wild beast nor its image and who had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years.

2 Tim. 2:12
… if we go on enduring, we shall also rule together as kings; if we deny, he also will deny us.
There are also two extremes: or you become king with Him or you are lost.

JESUS’ BODY DIDN’T ARISE (?)

Mark. 16:6
He said to them: “Stop being stunned. YOU are looking for Jesus the Nazarene′, who was impaled. He was raised up, he is not here. See! The place where they laid him.

image308Luke 24:38-43
So he said to them: “Why are YOU troubled, and why is it doubts come up in YOUR hearts? See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; feel me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones just as YOU behold that I have.”[[And as he said this he showed them his hands and his feet.]] But while they were still not believing for sheer joy and were wondering, he said to them: “Do YOU have something there to eat?” And they handed him a piece of broiled fish; and he took it and ate it before their eyes.

If this wasn’n the earthly body of Christ, the he he had convinced them with a ly, and these wounds He showed weren’t the real ones … And where was His body then?

Acts 2:31
… he saw beforehand and spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was he forsaken in Ha′des nor did his flesh see corruption

RESURRECTION OF THE BELIEVERS TOOK PLACE IN 1914 (?)

1 Thess. 4:16-17
… because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we shall always be with [the] Lord.

2 Tim. 2:18
These very [men] have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred; and they are subverting the faith of some.

HELL AS AN ETERNAL PUNISHMENT DOESN’T EXIST (?)

Rev. 20:10
And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet [already were]; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Matt. 25:41
Then he will say, in turn, to those on his left, ‘Be on YOUR way from me, YOU who have been cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

image248Matt. 8:29
And, look! they screamed, saying: “What have we to do with you, Son of God? Did you come here to torment us before the appointed time?

Matt. 26:24
… woe to that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been finer for him if that man had not been born.
Why?

Judas 7, 13
… by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire.
… for which the blackness of darkness stands reserved forever.

Matt. 13:42, 50
… nd they will pitch them into the fiery furnace. There is where [their] weeping and the gnashing of [their] teeth will be.
(Matt. 22:13, 24:51, 25:30)

Rev. 14:10-11
… he will also drink of the wine of the anger of God that is poured out undiluted into the cup of his wrath, and he shall be tormented with fire and sulphur in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb.

DEATH IS A STATE OF COMPLETELY UNCONSCIOUSNESS (?)

1 Petrus 3:19-20
In this [state] also he went his way and preached to the spirits in prison, who had once been disobedient when the patience of God was waiting in Noah’s days …

1 Petrus 4:5-6
… But these people will render an account to the one ready to judge those living and those dead. In fact, for this purpose the good news was declared also to the dead, that they might be judged as to the flesh …

Rev. 6:9-10
And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those slaughtered because of the word of God and because of the witness work that they used to have. And they cried with a loud voice, saying: “Until when, Sovereign Lord holy and true, are you refraining from judging and avenging our blood upon those who dwell on the earth?”

John 5:28
Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out …

Luke 16:23
And in Ha′des he lifted up his eyes, he existing in torments, and he saw Abraham afar off and Laz′arus in the bosom [position] with him.

Rev. 20:12
… And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened.

Matt. 22:32

HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL NOT PERISH LITTERALLY (?)

2 Petrus 3:7, 10,12
But by the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire and are being reserved to the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly men.

image360Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered.

Matt. 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away. (Mark. 13:31, Luke 21:33)

Rev. 21:1
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more.

JESUS CAME BACK IN 1914 (?)

2 Thess. 2:3
Let no one seduce YOU in any manner, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction.

Matt. 24:14
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Acts 1:11
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Rev. 1:7
Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief because of him. Yes, Amen.

Matt. 24:29-31
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send forth his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity.

Revelation 21:1-8, 22:20

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more.

I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

image310And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.”

Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” And he said to me: “They have come to pass! I am the Al′pha and the Ome′ga, the beginning and the end. To anyone thirsting I will give from the fountain of the water of life free. Anyone conquering will inherit these things, and I shall be his God and he will be my son.

But as for the cowards and those without faith and those who are disgusting in their filth and murderers and fornicators and those practicing spiritism and idolaters and all the liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur. This means the second death.”

He that bears witness of these things says, ‘Yes; I am coming quickly.’

“Amen! Come, Lord Jesus.
